Here are some things that every Guild Mentor should be doing: - Create a channel for your class during raids - this is traditionally /coarogues for rogues, /coamages for mages, etc. - Delegate - Mentors should be organising their class in raids, so try and make someone a deputy to do your job for those you can't attend - Make sure everyone has the correct addons installed - this includes CT_RaidAssist at a bare minimum, plus Decursive for casters and any other addons you think relevant - If *at all* possible, get on Teamspeak for raids - it makes communication much easier for raid leaders and yourself - Get everyone else on Teamspeak - even if they can't speak, it generally helps everyone - Try to rotate primary roles in raids - assign main puller or main tank to different people; let people gain experience in different positions - Post some useful information - use the forums to make an archive of quality guides and lists that people should know already; when people ask questions, refer them to your posts - Assess guild applications - check the Applications forum regularly and make sure you respond to anyone from your class - Find out what people need - ask people what gear / enchants / quests / special trade items they need, see if you can help; requests for MC drops like fiery cores etc. should be coming from Mentors - Keep other officers informed - post a short note in the officer's forum about any issues that come up; miscommunication has caused lots of problems in the past - Don't be afraid to ask for help - not sure about something? ask for opinions in the officer's forum
