OK, so, here's the deal: I used to farm herbs quite regularly and make potions for anyone who was in an instance group with me, as well as regularly for various guild members. Potions are becoming more and more popular, especially for raids, meaning this is no longer viable. I can't just keep giving potions to my friends -- and to be honest don't even want to, lazy fuckers can go grind Winterspring themselves for all I care -- but obviously the guild needs potions and the AH is not a solution. So, fully embracing the Citizens of Azeroth Ninja Spirit, I would like to suggest a system almost entirely ripped off from our old ally Genesis. Basically, people are going to have to start paying for potions. However, people will also be paid for any herbs they contribute. Prices are a lot lower than the AH on both ends, meaning noone gets ripped off and the guild has a steady source of affordable potions. Noone gets anything for free either - you have to buy (or get herbs for) your own potions, or you're fucked in the next MC raid. I want to start doing this in a pretty basic way at the beginning to see how things work out. So, the only potions people can buy will be Major Healing and Major Mana potions, and the only herbs I'll buy off people will be Mountain Silversage and Golden Sansam (for Major Healing potions), and Icecap and Dreamfoil (for Major Mana potions). Prices at the beginning will be 20s paid to the contributor per herb collected, and a price 1g per potion made for guild members. Any herbalist who supplies all the ingredients (including vials please :)) for any potion I can make will of course not have to pay, so anyone with herbalism can basically get free potions and have a regular source of income. Not only that, but they can be smug about it too, because they're providing everyone else in the guild with potions at a fair cost. If this works out, the idea is to offer any useful potion (including Flasks) for a reasonable price and pay for any herbs (including Black Lotuses) people collect that are used in them. I'm also going to post a list of what I consider to be "useful" potions below so that herbalists who aren't alchemists know what they can ask for and what to get. Just to recap:

Prices people must pay for potions will be 1g per Major Mana or Major Healing
People will be paid 20s per herb contributed
Only Mountain Silversage, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, and Icecap will be paid for
After a short trial, all useful potions will be available
Cheers, - Fin PS: Eni commented that this post should have a more snappy subject that grabbed people attention. He suggested flashing lights or something, but unfortunately for him that's a shit idea so no. I agree that "Potions and herbs" is a bit crap though, so if anyone can suggest anything with a bit more pizzazz please do so and I'll edit the subject. Cheers.
