Originally posted by huaca Hey, redirect me if I'm looking to the wrong place for help... but, I installed the latest version and I am continuously getting the error:
Interface\AddOns\SLTimex\Core.lua:1279:attempt to index field 'colorize' (a nil value)
I don't really understand much about add-ons, but I love to use them and i could use some advice on how to fix this =)
thanks
SLTimex 2.0 is no longer supported and outdated. Please download SLCore and the corresponding modules you would like to use.
Hi, and thanx for a nice addon I have a little bit of trouble though. I can't get the text to stay in place where I want it (Lock). Everytime I log in I have to rearrange all the text that is all over my screen. I have tried to saved it in to my character and so, but it does not seem to work. Any suggestions? (sorry for bad english) :/
With the release of SLCore and all available modules for the core, SLTimex, SLCommunity, and SLStats are no longer supported and "outdated" at this time.
In the near future when SLCore is released, SLTimex will become a "bundle" that will include the current modules, however the bundle will consist of SLCore, as well as each module as it's own individual AddOn.
Originally posted by Taffu This should actually be there, <Shift+RightClick> should do it...however it might be spurting out an error (the error is in the relay of text information to the chat window, so it will still perform the collection...I'll be patching this soon).
Rightclick worx, replace:
DEFAULT_CHAT_MESSAGE with DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME and everthings fine

edit : i just updated to the lastest version and i still have the problem where it won`t save the anchor on reloadui / relog.
edit2 : found a temoporary fix by editing the code and anchoring everything to UIparent by default.
Seems like every time I find a fix, it stops working Thought I fixed that problem, but it seems that even GetParent():GetName() isn't returning the proper anchor name when using the dragging movement. This is something I'm still continuing to find a fix for.
The backdrop will come back when SLCore is released and modules are seperated to individual add-ons (see post in Pre-Beta Interfaces regarding this).

Hi...
I downloaded and installed sltimex tonight, and can't get it to appear in game. The /slt and /timex commands don't work. I've read the comments below, and downloaded the latest Ace2.0 addon, and I've even tried copying those updated folders into your library folder. I also run the latest version of CTMod, along with Bagnon and SimpleCoords, both addons updated for the 2.3 patch. Any ideas?

Excellent! I downloaded the updated version of Ace2, and it works perfectly! I found that other than Lightheaded and TomTom, I was running FuBar(?)... must be an addon that came with another one... oh well. I'm so glad this works now... you did an awesome job with it, and thanks so much for helping me!
Originally posted by EliteRaven87 I have the SLTimex extracted into both the Addons folder, and the Ace2 folder within that, just in case.
The Ace2 folder should be running as it's own addon, and not nested into SLTimex. SLTimex has embedded Ace2 libraries, so it doesn't "technically" require the Ace2 addon to be running.
Try this: Go to files.wowace.com and download the latest release of Ace2, and install it as you would SLTimex into your "Interface/Addons" folder (remove the old one). This should make sure the most recent Ace2 libraries are running and active when you start the game.
When you log in, check the "Addon" button and make sure that both "Ace2" and "SLTimex" are listed on your addon list (and that both are checked & not dimmed out due to incompatibility or out-of-date status). If everything checks out, log in and you should be ok. If something goes wrong along the way (ie. SLTimex says "Incompatible") let me know.
Are these the only two addons your trying to use at the same time?

Did you check the "Addon" button at the Character Selection screen to make sure SLTimex was showing up on the list? If it's not showing on the list, it could be a nesting problem where the folder is either in the wrong place or too deep in an additional unnecessary folder.
Also, I forgot to mention, SLTimex does, in fact, show up on the AddOns list at the character select screen. It does, however, say that Ace2 is "incompatible". May that be the problem? I'm running the newest patch (2.3) of WoW.
Originally posted by Taffu I tested the addon, alone, without any other Ace libraries individually loaded from either other addons, or the Ace2 lib itself, and it worked fine on cleared WTF/Addon folders.

If it "is" showing on your list, but not loading when you enter the game after character selection, are there any error messages? Do you have other addons loaded as well (Ace or non-Ace...doesn't matter)? Possibly playing on a Locale other than enUS, zhTW, or zhCN? As much information as you can provide would help...as I'd like to correct the problem if there's something going on that's causing it not to load. Thanks
Thanks for such a quick reply Strangly enough, SLTimex shows up right away at 1.52MB memory usage, then over the course of a minute or so, drops to 68KB, then eventually vanishes. I have the SLTimex extracted into both the Addons folder, and the Ace2 folder within that, just in case. I get no error messages at all.
I am a little new to WoW, and am unfamiliar with what you mean by
